About the position
An engaging and knowledgeable Geography Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent boarding secondary school for boys aged 11-18 in Brent for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students with the diversity of our planet and the interconnectedness of human and physical environments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating Geography Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts.
- Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages geographical inquiry, critical thinking about global issues, and fieldwork.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Geography, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Geography Teacher lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of making geography relevant and engaging for students.
