Insight: We are looking for someone for a full-time consultant to work with central PMU; someone who has been into consulting ecosystem, understand tech & data insights, good with team management.

In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our partnerships, fostering collaboration and delivering exceptional results.

What You'll Do:

• Forge Strategic Government Partnerships: Leverage your deep understanding of the government landscape (central and state levels, across diverse sectors including data and technology) to build and nurture strong, impactful relationships. Identify and cultivate opportunities for growth within your portfolio of government accounts.
• Drive Innovative Problem Solving: Apply your sharp strategic thinking and sector-specific expertise, particularly in data and technology, to tackle complex challenges. Lead your team in rigorous, hypothesis-driven problem-solving, incorporating deep sectoral and stakeholder insights to develop practical and impactful solutions. You'll be adept at navigating evolving project scopes in a dynamic government environment.
• Ensure Delivery Excellence & Impact: Take ownership of project success, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery that achieves the envisioned social impact. You'll champion continuous improvement by establishing effective systems and processes for medium to large-scale projects.
• Empower Your Team: Mentor and guide consultants, senior consultants, and engagement managers, fostering their delivery excellence and professional growth. Cultivate a supportive and growth-oriented team environment, embedding our values and building capabilities.
• Cultivate Powerful Stakeholder Relationships: Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by building strong relationships with senior government officials, international funders, and implementation partners. Your deep sector knowledge, compelling communication, and exceptional delivery will enable you to influence decisions and drive sustainable impact.
• Manage Project Success & Finances: Oversee all commercial aspects of your projects, including invoicing, partner payments, and contracting (both with government agencies and through us). You'll ensure smooth financial operations and proactively manage communication regarding timelines and deliverables.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven Government Consulting Expertise: 15-18 years of experience leading significant government consulting and advisory engagements.
• Established Government Network: A strong track record of effectively engaging with senior government officials, ideally with an existing network within central and state governments.
• Relevant Advanced Degree: A Master's degree in research, development, public policy, business, or development management.
• Consulting & Problem-Solving Acumen: Deep experience in consulting methodologies, strategic problem-solving, team management, knowledge product creation, ecosystem engagement, and policy formulation.
• Development Sector Insight: Comprehensive knowledge of the development landscape in India and globally, including the roles of diverse stakeholders (government, academia, international institutions, foundations, non-profits, and corporations).
• Analytical & Narrative Skills: Expertise in designing and implementing advisory projects, conducting rigorous data analysis, synthesizing evidence into compelling narratives for policy influence.
• Facilitation & Communication Excellence: Proven ability to lead engaging workshops and facilitate participatory knowledge creation. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Agile & Adaptive Mindset: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
