🌎 We’re growing rapidly in Ukraine, Poland, and Brazil, and our international expansion is only picking up speed. 🤘 More than 4,500 Mate graduates have landed IT jobs after just 4 months of training.
We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist who can make every Mate employee feel welcome, supported, and engaged from day one. You’ll be our go‑to person for the Polish team, tuned in to their needs, and comfortable handling policies and Polish labor law. If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet 🫶
📍This is a part‑time role with half‑day hours and flexible scheduling
What will you need to succeed:
- 2+ years of HR / People Ops experience
- Strong skills in implementing and adapting HR processes for the Polish market
- Proven record of running onboarding, offboarding, and performance reviews
- Experience leading internal communications, corporate gifts & remote team culture
- A habit of working with data and measuring results through clear metrics
- Solid knowledge of Polish labor law and the local job market
- Natural ability to build trust and positive relationships
- Strong problem‑solving skills when working with people
- Feeling comfortable thriving both independently and within a team
- English proficiency at B2+ level, both written and spoken
Your tasks will be to:
- Handle the contract signing process with external contractors (mentors, coaches, experts) and internal employees
- Manage Onboarding, Offboarding, and Performance Review processes
- Research market compensation & benefits
- Organize quarterly in‑person meet‑ups and weekly online gatherings
- Order and send gifts and company merchandise to employees and students
- Order of laptops & equipment
- Provide local context for foreign managers and the company
- Cooperate with the outsourcing hr & payroll company
- Support recruitment processes (not a regular function)
Your team: You’ll be working with an amazing remote Polish team of 10 colleagues, plus two “work besties” on People Ops in Kyiv, Oksana and Lera. They work hard, play hard, and are always coming up with ways to make things better. Join us, there’s plenty of challenge and discovery ahead 🚀
