About the position
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join an Outstanding Boys' school in Islington, starting in September. This is a full-time, permanent position for a dedicated Music Teacher to cultivate a love of music and develop musical skills in boys across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Music Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in Music.
- Develop students' performance, composition, and listening skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback as a Music Teacher.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of extracurricular musical activities (e.g., bands, ensembles).
- Uphold the school’s ethos of teamwork and support as a valued Music Teacher.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music.
- Proven experience in teaching Music at secondary level.
- Strong musical skills (performance and theory).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Music Teacher.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in Music.
- A commitment to collaborative teamwork and a supportive school environment.
