Accounting Manager

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the transformation and modernisation of our client's finance operations. This role focuses on establishing streamlined processes to support our growing business needs and ensure compliance with financial standards.

Location: On site - Mosta

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Lead the restructuring of finance operations, implementing improved accounting systems and processes.

Manage daily financial activities, transitioning to corporate-level practices.

Develop and implement financial policies to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Oversee accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

Provide strategic financial insights to guide business decisions.

Mentor and manage the accounting team, fostering professional growth.

Liaise with auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance.

Oversee the selection and integration of accounting software tailored to the business’s needs.

Participate in strategic financial planning initiatives.

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting or Finance

At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in leading and improving finance departments.

Proven expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and budget management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and other financial tools.

Adaptable and highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities.
