We are searching for an imaginative and inspiring Head of Art to lead our exceptional Art department in the West Midlands starting this September. As Head of Art, you will be responsible for shaping and leading an innovative curriculum, ensuring our students have the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their artistic talents.
Key Responsibilities for the Head of Art include:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Art department, leading a team of passionate Art teachers.
- Develop and implement a forward-thinking and inclusive Art curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning in Art across all key stages.
- Monitor student progress in Art and implement strategies for improvement where necessary.
- Lead departmental CPD and create opportunities for staff to enhance their Art teaching skills.
- Manage resources effectively within the Art department to ensure optimal teaching.
We Require a Head of Art who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent.
- Has significant leadership experience in Art education.
- Holds a degree in Art or a related subject.
- Has a deep passion for Art and a commitment to helping students succeed.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate others.
