We are looking for an inspiring Head of DT to take charge of an energetic department, driving the future of Design & Technology education and ensuring student success at all key stages.
Key Responsibilities of the Head of DT:
- Lead and inspire a team of Design & Technology teachers to deliver high-quality education.
- Develop a robust, challenging curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of all students.
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate student progress in Design & Technology, ensuring high attainment.
- Foster strong links with local businesses and external partners to enrich the Design & Technology curriculum.
- Lead the department’s professional development and support ongoing CPD for all Design & Technology staff.
- Efficiently manage Design & Technology resources, ensuring they align with department goals.
We Require a Head of DT who has:
- Proven leadership experience, particularly in the area of Design & Technology.
- A degree in Design & Technology or a related subject.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for Design & Technology education and a commitment to student success.
- A deep understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum and how to make it exciting and accessible for all students.
