Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing and forward-thinking company, playing a crucial role in optimizing and automating infrastructure, deployment, and development processes. Location: Hybrid / Remote – Malta

Responsibilities:

As a the Senior DevOps Engineer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure to support high-traffic applications.
• Enhance CI/CD processes to ensure smooth and efficient deployment, minimizing downtime and improving release cycles.
• Implement automation tools to improve system reliability, reduce manual work, and optimize performance.
• Ensure infrastructure security, monitoring, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to streamline workflows and improve overall system efficiency.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
• Research and integrate the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies to keep the infrastructure at the cutting edge.

Requirements:

• Experience in managing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools to optimize deployment processes.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automated infrastructure management.
• Ability to write scripts in Bash, Python, or similar languages to automate repetitive tasks and optimize system performance.
• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and security best practices to ensure a robust and secure system.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize system reliability.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps best practices.
