RE Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and insightful RE Teacher to join their department. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5). The school is committed to providing a high-quality RE curriculum that promotes understanding, respect, and critical reflection on diverse beliefs and values.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging RE lessons that explore a range of world religions, belief systems, and ethical issues.
- Foster critical thinking, open-mindedness, and respectful dialogue among students.
- Develop students' ability to analyze and evaluate different perspectives on religious and ethical questions.
- Promote understanding and respect for diversity in beliefs and values.
- Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum, ensuring it is relevant, inclusive, and thought-provoking.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching RE at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of different religions and belief systems.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A desire to teach RE
