French and Spanish Teacher – Independent School – Surrey
A prestigious Independent secondary school in Surrey seeks a highly skilled and enthusiastic linguist to join their Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department as a French and Spanish Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching both languages across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. The school is committed to fostering a love of languages and providing students with a truly global perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in both French and Spanish, creating an immersive language-learning environment.
- Develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in both languages.
- Explore the cultures of French- and Spanish-speaking countries through authentic materials and activities.
- Prepare students for success in GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level examinations.
- Assess student progress rigorously and provide detailed, individualized feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and extracurricular language activities.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Fluency in both French and Spanish (native or near-native level).
- A degree in Modern Languages, French, Spanish, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching both French and Spanish at the secondary level, ideally within the independent sector.
