What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher who is:

  • Creative and engaging, with a passion for making learning fun and meaningful.
  • Dedicated to supporting children’s progress in core subjects such as literacy and numeracy, as well as their social and emotional development.
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Reflective and eager to grow professionally through training and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver stimulating lessons that meet the diverse needs of Year 2 learners.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, setting realistic and motivating targets.
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers, providing updates on their child’s learning journey.

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable but not essential).
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
  • Commitment to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
