About the position
A prestigious school in Portsmouth is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Design and Technology to join their dynamic and well-resourced DT department from ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a DT teacher to inspire students and help them develop practical and theoretical skills in Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach a specialism at KS5.
The successful Teacher of Design and Technology will work in a collaborative and forward-thinking DT department, delivering engaging and innovative lessons that encourage creativity and problem-solving. This role is suitable for both experienced DT teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking for a supportive environment to grow their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4, with a specialism to KS5
- Inspire students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences in DT
- Plan and deliver a curriculum that develops technical knowledge and practical skills in DT
- Use industry-standard equipment and software to enhance learning in DT
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental projects and extracurricular DT activities

Requirements

- The legal right to work in the UK
