About the Chemistry Teacher Role
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Chemistry Teacher to join our dedicated Science department. The successful Chemistry Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3-5, inspiring students with engaging lessons and a love for scientific inquiry.
Key Responsibilities of the Chemistry Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore Chemistry concepts and develop their scientific skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Chemistry, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the Chemistry curriculum and departmental resources.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Chemistry and incorporate new technologies into the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Chemistry teaching.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Chemistry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for Chemistry and a commitment to inspiring students.
