About the Role:
A "Brilliant School" (as described by parents and the community) in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a passionate and dedicated Italian Teacher to join their thriving Modern Foreign Languages department. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of the Italian language and culture. The school prides itself on providing a supportive and stimulating learning environment for both students and staff. The ideal Italian Teacher will have passion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Italian lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the MFL department.
- Contribute to the development of the Italian curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
- Adhere to all school safeguarding policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Italian at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
- Native or near-native fluency in Italian.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Italian language and culture.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
