A vibrant and inclusive SEN school in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a dynamic environment, delivering tailored lessons that engage and inspire students with special educational needs.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a vibrant SEN school in Lambeth
- Teach Maths to small classes of students with a range of special educational needs
- Develop and deliver differentiated Maths lessons, ensuring all students are appropriately challenged
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping students to build confidence and achieve their full potential
- Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Track student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Provide personalised support to students with learning difficulties, focusing on both academic progress and personal growth
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths, ideally in a special educational needs (SEN) setting
- Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation techniques
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching students with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Enhanced DBS check required
