This is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to a student with additional learning needs, helping them to engage in their education and reach their full potential.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time, permanent position at a supportive primary school in Kensington
  • Provide one-to-one support for a student with special educational needs, helping them access learning in a structured and engaging way
  • Assist with the implementation of an Individual Education Plan (IEP) tailored to the student's needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for the student
  • Support social, emotional, and academic development, fostering confidence and independence
  • Adapt learning activities to suit the student's needs and encourage participation
  • Build a strong, trusting relationship with the student to create a positive learning experience

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN support role is desirable
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with students
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS check required
