About the Role:
- Teach Design and Technology with a specialism in Product Design across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for teaching at Key Stage 5.
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources, including design challenges, project-based learning, and computer-aided design (CAD) software, to develop students' design and making skills.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity, solve problems, and develop innovative solutions.
- Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.
We are looking for:
- A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Excellent subject knowledge in Design and Technology, with a specialism in Product Design.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
