Your Role as SENCO:

πŸ”Ή Lead and manage the SEN department, ensuring high-quality provision for students with additional learning needs.
πŸ”Ή Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs to support student success.
πŸ”Ή Provide guidance and support to staff on SEN best practices, differentiation, and creating inclusive learning environments.
πŸ”Ή Work collaboratively with the SLT, teachers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
πŸ”Ή Monitor and assess the progress of SEN students, ensuring interventions are effective and tailored to individual needs.
πŸ”Ή Lead on SEN policy development, promoting inclusive strategies across the school.

Who We’re Looking For:

βœ… Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
βœ… Experience in a SENCO role or leading SEN provision in a secondary school.
βœ… Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
βœ… Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
βœ… A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring equitable access to learning.
βœ… An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
