Your Role as an English Teacher:
πΉ Plan and deliver engaging and adaptive English lessons for students who require additional support.
πΉ Differentiate the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum to meet students' individual needs.
πΉ Foster a positive and structured classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies.
πΉ Build strong relationships with students to boost confidence, motivation, and literacy skills.
πΉ Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
πΉ Develop creative and real-life learning experiences to engage students in reading, writing, and communication.
πΉ Track student progress and implement intervention strategies where needed.
Who Weβre Looking For:
β
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
β
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4, ideally in a PRU, alternative provision, or SEN setting.
β
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
β
Strong knowledge of differentiation, behaviour management, and trauma-informed strategies.
β
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
β
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
