Your Role as a Music Teacher:

🔹 Inspire Students Through Music – Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that support students' creativity, communication, and emotional expression.
🔹 Adapt Lessons for SEN Students – Use differentiated teaching strategies to make music accessible and enjoyable for students with a variety of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
🔹 Promote Social & Emotional Development – Use music as a tool to help students develop confidence, teamwork, and emotional regulation, fostering a sense of achievement and personal growth.
🔹 Collaborate with Support Staff – Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to create an inclusive and holistic learning environment.
🔹 Foster a Positive & Creative Classroom – Create an encouraging and safe space where students feel comfortable exploring their musical abilities and developing their passion for music.
🔹 Monitor Student Progress – Track student development and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and staff, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.

Who We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching music at secondary level, preferably in SEN settings.
Experience with SEN – A strong understanding of how to teach students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
Passionate About Music – A love for music and a desire to share that enthusiasm with students, helping them discover and develop their talents.
Creative & Flexible – An innovative and adaptable approach to teaching that meets the diverse needs of your students.
Empathetic & Patient – A caring, patient, and understanding teaching style that promotes inclusivity and supports students’ social and emotional well-being.
Strong Communication Skills – Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
