About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate EYFS Teacher for an Outstanding school in Croydon, starting after the February half term 2025. This is a full-time position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

EYFS Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and independence.
  • Use observations and assessments to track children’s progress and tailor learning experiences accordingly.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports children's social and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality EYFS provision across the school.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on children’s progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events.

EYFS Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Early Years, particularly in Nursery or Reception.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning needs.
  • A team-oriented approach and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in Early Years education.
