Art & Design Technology Teacher – Specialist School – Hillingdon
A specialist school in Hillingdon is seeking a creative and passionate Art & Design Technology Teacher to inspire and engage students with additional learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and dedicated team, helping students develop their artistic and practical skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
In this role, you will deliver engaging Art and DT lessons tailored to the needs of students, fostering creativity, confidence, and hands-on learning. You will have access to well-equipped facilities and work closely with SEN staff to ensure that all students can fully participate and achieve their potential.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position in a specialist school in Hillingdon
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and practical Art & DT lessons adapted to meet the needs of all learners
- Encourage self-expression and confidence through a variety of artistic and design projects
- Work closely with SEN staff to provide personalized learning experiences for students
- Maintain a safe and well-organized learning environment, ensuring students can explore materials and techniques effectively

Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with experience in teaching Art and/or Design Technology
- Experience working in an SEN setting is advantageous but not essential
- A passion for inclusive education and the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong communication, creativity, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS check required
