Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Year 1 lessons, following the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Support phonics and early reading development using structured schemes.
- Provide differentiated instruction to support a wide range of learning abilities.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them engaged in their child's progress.
- Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, SENDCo, and subject coordinators to enhance pupil outcomes.
- Contribute to wider school initiatives, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in KS1 teaching.
- A creative and engaging teaching style that promotes a love of learning.
- Strong understanding of phonics schemes (e.g., Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds).
- The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach to pastoral care.
