Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Nature: Full-Time, Permanent
Start: ASAP
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 (depending on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Hammersmith is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and supportive environment, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time, permanent position at a welcoming SEN school in Hammersmith
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions to meet individual student needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported
  • Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills, encouraging independence and confidence
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure effective support strategies are implemented
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to their personal and academic development

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
  • A positive, proactive attitude to supporting children’s learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS check required
