About the position

Are you a highly qualified Economics Teacher ready to challenge and inspire academically gifted students in a Magnificent Independent school in Kensington? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Economics department, starting September 2025. This is a chance to teach in a school with excellent resources and a rich academic tradition.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of academically gifted students.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including economic data analysis, debates, and research projects, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum and resources.
  • Foster a passion for economics in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to economics and current affairs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Economics, particularly at A-Level.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate academically gifted students.
  • A passion for economics and a commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
