DT Teacher - Full-time, Permanent (September 2025 Start)

Are you a creative and practical DT Teacher ready to inspire students in a Church of England secondary school in Kensington? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Design and Technology department, starting September 2025. About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including practical workshops, CAD/CAM software, and design projects, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Design and Technology examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Design and Technology curriculum and resources, integrating faith-based perspectives where appropriate.
  • Foster a love of design and technology in students, encouraging them to develop their creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and upholding the school's Christian ethos.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Design and Technology examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and practical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Church of England education.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
