We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Languages department, starting September 2025. About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging French lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
- Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including interactive activities, cultural immersion experiences, and technology, to enhance student learning.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
- Contribute to the development of the French curriculum and resources, integrating faith-based perspectives where appropriate.
- Foster a love of French language and culture in students, encouraging them to develop their communication skills, cultural awareness, and appreciation of diversity.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and upholding the school's Catholic ethos.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in French.
- Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and language skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
