Geography Teacher - Full-time, Permanent (September 2025 Start)

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of academically gifted students.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including fieldwork, GIS, and data analysis, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Geography examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and resources.
  • Foster a passion for geography in students, encouraging them to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to geography and environmental issues.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Geography examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate academically gifted students.
  • A passion for geography and a commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
