Health & Social Care Teacher - Community Focused Secondary School - Hounslow

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Health & Social Care lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, role-play, and practical demonstrations, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for BTEC and other relevant Health & Social Care qualifications, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Health & Social Care curriculum and resources, reflecting current industry practices and community needs.
  • Foster a passion for care and social responsibility in students, encouraging them to develop their empathy, communication, and practical skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to health and social care.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Health & Social Care.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for BTEC and other relevant qualifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and practical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • A passion for health and social care and a commitment to serving the community.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
