Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire Job Title: HR Officer Salary: Dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent A thriving school in Aylesbury is looking to appoint an experienced HR Officer to support its staff, leadership team and wider school community. This is a varied opportunity for someone with a strong HR background who enjoys recruitment, employee relations and ensuring that staffing processes are handled professionally and efficiently. Your role will include: Managing recruitment processes from vacancy approval through to appointment. Coordinating safer recruitment checks and maintaining compliance records. Preparing contracts, offer letters and employee documentation. Supporting staff absence management and HR reporting. Advising managers on routine HR policies and procedures. Maintaining confidential personnel records. Supporting employee relations matters and meetings. Ensuring HR processes comply with relevant employment requirements. What we’re looking for Previous HR Officer or HR Administrator experience. Strong understanding of recruitment and employee lifecycle processes. Knowledge of safer recruitment and safeguarding procedures. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience in a school or education setting is strongly preferred.
