Mechanical Fitter – Powertrain & Rotating Equipment

SCallaghan is supporting an established heavy mechanical engineering concern in the East Rand on their search for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their rebuilding and assembly team. The role focuses on stripping, component replacement, precision assembly, and dynamic balancing of heavy-duty commercial vehicle and industrial mechanical drive components. Requirements: Trade Test (Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or Automotive Machinist / Engine Fitter). 3–5 years' workshop fitting experience with heavy vehicle running gear, mechanical drive components, or rotating assemblies. Practical experience operating dynamic balancing machines and precision measuring tools. Ability to work to tight dimensional specifications in a fast-turnaround workshop.
