Head of Mathematics & Further Maths – Scholarly Secondary School in Cheltenham

An academically rigorous secondary school in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is seeking an ambitious Head of Mathematics to lead its quantitative faculty on a full-time, permanent basis starting in January. Job Overview Mathematics is a flagship discipline within this school’s academic curriculum and Sixth Form pathways. The successful candidate will direct curriculum sequencing, instructional rigor, and exam performance across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE Higher Tier), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics). Working alongside senior leadership and a team of subject specialists, you will lead departmental coaching, standardize internal mock assessments, and mentor students targeting competitive university courses in Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science (including STEP and MAT preparation). This is a full-time, permanent contract.
