We're hiring experienced Class A CDL Truck Drivers for a local intermodal driving opportunity based in Liberty, Missouri , serving the greater Kansas City area. This position offers daily home time, average weekly earnings of $1,275–$1,375, no-touch container freight, and a compensation structure combining hourly pay with mileage earnings . Drivers transport intermodal containers between rail yards, distribution centers, warehouses, and customer facilities throughout the Kansas City operating region. This is a local company-driver position with opportunities for different shift assignments. Pay & Compensation Average Weekly Earnings: $1,275–$1,375 Drivers receive hourly compensation based on their assigned shift, plus mileage pay. Job Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on local intermodal routes. Transport loaded and empty intermodal containers. Pick up and deliver freight between rail yards, distribution centers, warehouses, and customer locations. Complete container and chassis inspections. Follow rail-yard and terminal safety procedures. Perform pre-trip and post-trip tractor inspections. Safely couple and uncouple equipment. Maintain accurate DOT logs and delivery records. Communicate with dispatch regarding load status and delays. Complete assigned pickups and deliveries safely and on schedule. Freight & Equipment No-touch intermodal container freight Tractor-trailer and container chassis equipment Local rail and distribution center operations Loaded and empty container movements Newer equipment has been advertised, with an average fleet age of approximately two years Drivers are not expected to manually load or unload freight. Operating Area Drivers operate throughout the greater Kansas City market, including Liberty, Missouri, and surrounding communities. Routes may extend up to approximately 250 miles from the operating terminal.
