Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire Job Title: School Library Manager Start Date: ASAP Salary: Dependent on experience Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent About the School A welcoming school in Stroud is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Library Manager to oversee its library and support pupils in developing a love of reading and independent learning. About the Role You will manage the library's daily operation and ensure pupils and staff have access to high-quality learning resources. Responsibilities will include: Managing the library and maintaining an organised environment. Overseeing book loans, returns and library catalogues. Supporting pupils with research and locating learning resources. Promoting reading initiatives and literacy activities. Maintaining stock and coordinating new resource purchases. Supporting library access, study sessions and school events. The Ideal Candidate Previous library, resource management or administrative experience. Experience working with children or young people is desirable. Confident using library management systems and Microsoft Office. Strong organisational and communication skills. Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic about reading. An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
