Role: Reception Class Teacher Location: Horsham, West Sussex Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: January 2027 Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience An established primary school in Horsham is seeking a passionate Reception Teacher for September 2027. The school is looking for an educator who understands early childhood development and can create a stimulating classroom where children feel confident, supported and excited to learn. The Role Take responsibility for a Reception class and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Plan a balance of adult-led activities and purposeful child-initiated learning. Develop early communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills. Observe, assess and record children's progress against developmental milestones. Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support a smooth start to school life. The Candidate Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Has experience or a strong interest in Early Years education. Understands play-based learning and effective early assessment. Creates a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
