Location: Newham Start: ASAP Contract: Long-term temporary Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Salary: £28,000–£34,000 per annum, depending on experience A secondary school in Newham is looking for a proactive Attendance Officer to join its pastoral and administration teams. About the Role You will monitor and promote pupil attendance, follow up on absences and work with families and school staff to improve attendance. Key Responsibilities Monitor daily attendance and identify patterns of absence. Contact parents and carers regarding unexplained absences. Maintain accurate attendance records and reports. Support attendance meetings and follow-up actions. Work with pastoral and safeguarding teams where concerns arise. What We’re Looking For Previous experience in school administration, attendance or pastoral support. Strong communication and record-keeping skills. Confidence speaking with parents and carers.
