Dutch-speaking Customer Support Specialist – Digital Payments

About the Role We are looking for a Dutch-speaking Customer Support Specialist to assist customers using an online payments platform. In this remote role, you will handle account, payment and collection-related enquiries, explain product information and help customers find suitable solutions. Key Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound customer contacts through voice and written channels. Support customers with payment, account funding and transaction-related enquiries. Investigate and resolve collection-related questions professionally. Explain account history, product details and relevant protection policies. Discuss payment arrangements and record agreed follow-up actions. Identify and appropriately support vulnerable customers, escalating cases when needed. Update customer records accurately and coordinate with other teams. Fluent Dutch and English. One to two years of experience in customer service, retail, hospitality or a call-centre environment preferred. Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Experience in financial services, online businesses or transaction processing is an advantage. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence learning new software. Ability to multitask, prioritise work and operate independently with discretion. Requirements Languages Dutch / English Salary €1,050–€1,150 gross/month (source salary: €1,100) Location & Work Arrangement Remote, Portugal-based; Lisbon is the stated base location Working Schedule Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00; weekends off. Relocation Preference for candidates already residing in Portugal. Relocation/accommodation support may be considered in exceptional cases. Benefits €2,000 welcome bonus paid in 12 monthly instalments during the first year; €7.63 net meal allowance per working day; €80 complexity bonus.
