About the Role We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. Key Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, and organise hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry in accordance with established procedures. Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently, following the correct washing cycles and handling instructions. Inspect linen and garments for stains, damage, and quality before and after processing. Ensure clean linen and uniforms are properly folded, organised, and distributed to the respective departments. Handle guest laundry carefully, ensuring accurate identification, timely processing, and delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, equipment, and storage spaces. Use detergents, chemicals, and cleaning supplies safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hotel procedures. Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, and shortages of laundry supplies promptly to the Laundry Supervisor. Follow proper procedures for handling soiled and clean linen to prevent cross-contamination. Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene standards, grooming guidelines, health and safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures. About You To excel in this role, you should have: Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar laundry or housekeeping position, preferably within the hospitality industry. Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, washing procedures, and ironing techniques. Ability to operate laundry equipment and handle cleaning chemicals safely. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and quality standards. Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently. Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle laundry loads. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
