About the Role We are currently seeking a Security Officer to join our team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, visitors, and hotel property. The Security Officer will monitor hotel premises, conduct regular patrols, control access, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with hotel security procedures while maintaining a professional and approachable presence. Key Responsibilities Monitor hotel premises, entrances, exits, and designated areas to ensure the safety and security of guests, colleagues, and property. Conduct regular security patrols and inspections, identifying and reporting suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security concerns. Monitor CCTV systems and promptly report unusual activities or incidents to the Security Supervisor. Control access to restricted areas and verify the identity and authorisation of visitors, contractors, and service personnel. Monitor and manage the entry and exit of vehicles, deliveries, and other authorised personnel in accordance with hotel procedures. Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, disturbances, and guest or colleague safety concerns. Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, visitor records, and shift handover reports. Assist with emergency response procedures, including fire alarms, evacuations, and other emergency situations. Ensure proper handling and reporting of lost and found items in accordance with hotel policies. Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments to address security and safety concerns. Maintain a visible, professional, and approachable security presence throughout the hotel. Ensure compliance with hotel security policies, emergency procedures, grooming standards, and Standard Operating Procedures. About You To excel in this role, you should have: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Security, preferably within a hotel, hospitality, or corporate environment. Relevant security training or certification will be an advantage. Good understanding of security procedures, access control, surveillance, and emergency response. Strong observation skills and the ability to identify potential security risks. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional approach. Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, integrity, and sound judgement. Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate reports and records. Physical fitness and the ability to conduct regular patrols and remain alert throughout the shift. A strong sense of responsibility, discipline, punctuality, and reliability. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
