Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (TCM Practitioner) Number of Vacancies: 1 Position Department: Operations Department Work Location: Jumeirah 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates Key Responsibilities 1.Provide professional and comprehensive Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) services to members and patients, including TCM health assessments, syndrome differentiation, constitution assessment, and personalized health management. 2.Apply TCM theories and clinical techniques to assess, treat, and manage common illnesses, chronic conditions, and suboptimal health conditions. Perform acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy, Gua Sha, and other traditional Chinese medical treatments within the scope of DHA licensing and approved clinical privileges. 3.Develop personalized TCM treatment and health management plans based on patients' health conditions, individual constitutions, and clinical needs. 4.Provide Chinese herbal medicine recommendations based on TCM principles and prescribe herbal medicines where permitted under applicable professional licensing and pharmaceutical regulations. 5.Participate in the management of chronic health conditions, including insomnia, fatigue, digestive disorders, chronic pain, and other conditions suitable for TCM interventions. 6.Provide health promotion, lifestyle modification, constitution-based wellness management, and healthy aging recommendations based on traditional Chinese medical principles. 7.Participate in women's health, men's health, and TCM wellness programs, providing personalized complementary healthcare services. 8.Collaborate closely with General Practitioners, Internal Medicine Physicians, Longevity Medicine Physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver multidisciplinary patient care. 9.Provide professional, personalized, and high-quality TCM consultations and health management services to VIP members and international patients. 10.Conduct pre-treatment assessments, explain treatment plans, obtain informed consent, provide post-treatment follow-up, and evaluate treatment outcomes. 11.Maintain accurate patient medical records, consultation notes, treatment plans, and follow-up documentation in compliance with DHA regulations and clinical standards. 12.Strictly follow infection prevention and control procedures, aseptic techniques, patient safety protocols, and patient confidentiality requirements to ensure safe and professional TCM services. Participate in the development of TCM health management programs, optimization of clinical service procedures, and professional training initiatives within the medical center. Stay updated on TCM clinical research, evidence-based medicine, and developments in integrative healthcare, continuously improving professional knowledge, clinical competence, and quality of care. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Tuina, or a related TCM discipline. Hold a valid DHA Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner License, or meet the relevant DHA professional eligibility and registration requirements. Possess a comprehensive educational background in TCM theories and formal clinical training. Demonstrate strong knowledge of TCM fundamental theories, TCM diagnostics, Chinese herbal medicine, herbal formulas, acupuncture, and the management of common medical conditions using TCM approaches. Candidates holding recognized TCM practitioner qualifications from China or other countries are preferred. Additional professional training in integrative medicine, acupuncture, chronic disease management, or traditional Chinese wellness practices is an advantage. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred. Experience Minimum of two years of clinical experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Experience in hospitals, TCM clinics, international healthcare institutions, or multidisciplinary medical centers is preferred. Proven clinical experience in acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy, Gua Sha, and comprehensive TCM treatments. Experience in the TCM management of common illnesses, chronic pain, sleep disorders, fatigue, and functional health conditions. Experience in TCM wellness, preventive healthcare, chronic disease management, and healthy aging programs is preferred. Previous experience in Dubai or other healthcare institutions in the UAE, with knowledge of DHA regulations and clinical standards, is an advantage. Experience in integrative medicine, multidisciplinary collaboration, or international healthcare services is preferred. Previous experience providing healthcare services to VIP clients, high-net-worth individuals, and international patients is highly desirable. Ability to independently conduct TCM consultations, perform syndrome differentiation, develop treatment plans, and manage long-term patient follow-up.
