Finance Specialist

We’re looking for a Finance Specialist to support strategic finance initiatives, provide technical accounting guidance, and help strengthen finance policies and operating procedures. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance Finance policies, operating guidelines, and internal controls. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex accounting issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Assess new accounting standards and regulatory requirements and support their implementation. Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and other teams on accounting matters and process improvements. Coordinate with internal and external auditors on technical accounting and compliance matters. Support financial assessments of third-party vendors, contract reviews, system enhancements, and other Finance initiatives. Develop process improvement solutions and provide guidance or training to relevant stakeholders. Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required. At least 4 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Experience in technical accounting, accounting policies, financial statement reviews, or accounting advisory is an advantage. Exposure to IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation in the insurance industry is a plus. Knowledge of insurance products, corporate Finance, and actuarial systems is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
