CNC Machinist | Wire EDM & G-Code Programming | Knoxville, TN

Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong Wire EDM experience to join its production team. This role is ideal for a hands-on machinist who can independently set up, program, and operate CNC equipment with minimal training. The successful candidate will have experience producing high-precision components while maintaining strict quality standards and working from complex engineering drawings and specifications. Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance Responsibilities: Program and edit G-Code at the machine control. Complete production documentation and quality records. Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices. Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications. Produce precision components to required tolerances and quality standards. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve performance and efficiency. Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Qualifications (Must-Haves) High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with CNC mills and lathes. Experience programming and editing G-Code. Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts. Hands-on experience setting up and operating Wire EDM machines. Strong understanding of shop math, trigonometry, and manufacturing tolerances. Experience using precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Preferred Skills: Experience with Makino equipment. Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls. Experience machining ceramic or other specialty materials. Experience using EDM software such as Mastercam or Esprit. Background in precision manufacturing, aerospace, tooling, mold, die, or similar industries. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to safely perform machining operations in a manufacturing environment.
