A secondary school in Stowmarket is seeking a History Teacher to provide maternity cover within its humanities faculty. The successful candidate will deliver a carefully sequenced curriculum that develops historical knowledge and prepares students for GCSE assessments. The Role Historical Instruction: Teach key historical periods, events and interpretations across KS3 and KS4. Source Analysis: Develop students’ ability to evaluate primary and secondary sources and recognise different historical perspectives. GCSE Preparation: Support students with examination questions, essay structure and evidence-based explanations. Curriculum Continuity: Maintain existing schemes of work and collaborate with colleagues to support consistent learning. The Candidate Qualifications: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
