Senior Diagnostic Engineer – Automotive & Heavy-Duty Vehicles

We are looking for an experienced Senior Diagnostic Engineer to support the development and maintenance of diagnostic and fault-tracing solutions for heavy-duty engines and drive systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of automotive diagnostic systems and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information and troubleshooting procedures. Create accurate and reliable fault-tracing documentation for service technicians. Verify diagnostic information through physical and virtual testing. Support service and repair operations with effective diagnostic solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and technical teams. Ensure diagnostic information meets quality and customer requirements. Required Qualifications 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including more than 5 years working with heavy-duty engines and/or drive systems. Strong practical, hands-on experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault tracing. Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM), technical documentation, and CAD tools. Understanding of workshop operations and service technician requirements. Experience with automotive diagnostic tools and systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Fluent in written and spoken English. Preferred Qualifications Experience with diagnostic tools such as Vodia or equivalent automotive systems. Experience in industrial machinery or marine applications. Knowledge of electromobility and electric drive systems. Experience developing service and repair documentation. Interested?
