Hotel Maintenance Assistant

Our client, a well-established hotel in Malta, is looking for a reliable and hands-on Hotel Maintenance Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the hotel, ensuring that guest rooms, common areas and hotel facilities are kept in good working condition. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the hotel. Inspect guest rooms and common areas and report any maintenance issues. Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general repair work. Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff in a professional and timely manner. Assist with the maintenance of air-conditioning units, appliances and other hotel equipment. Carry out basic preventive maintenance to help avoid breakdowns. Assist with the upkeep of hotel facilities, including the pool and other guest areas. Ensure tools and maintenance areas are kept clean and organised. Follow health and safety procedures and report any potential hazards. Work closely with the housekeeping and hotel management teams. Assist external contractors and technicians when required. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by management. Requirements Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance or a similar role is preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, painting and general repairs. Good practical and problem-solving skills. Reliable, responsible and organised. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Flexible and willing to respond to occasional urgent maintenance requests.
