Position: African & Afrikaans-Accented English Experts Type: Contract Compensation: $15–$20/hour Location: Remote Duration: 1–2 weeks Commitment: 20 hours Role Responsibilities Transcribe recorded English conversations spoken with an African or Afrikaans accent. Create accurate timestamps against the audio to ensure precision. Apply a consistent transcription convention across a batch of files. Flag audio quality issues, unclear speech, and speaker-attribution problems. Potentially help produce conversations for subsequent transcription. Qualifications Must-Have Prior transcription or transcription-QA experience (professional or freelance). Able to confidently understand and accurately transcribe the accents you apply for. For the Afrikaans group: fluent in Afrikaans . Strong attention to detail and consistency across a batch. Reliable internet and the ability to work to a short deadline. Available to start immediately. Preferred Experience with timestamping, captioning, or subtitling workflows. Data annotation or AI-training data experience.
