Maintenance Electrical Technician

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician to join a manufacturing environment. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and production machinery to ensure efficient plant operations and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of electrical equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and control systems. Install, modify, and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, and power distribution systems. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production stoppages. Update maintenance activities and work orders within the maintenance system. Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety standards and electrical regulations. Support both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities when required. Requirements Trade/Vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or equivalent (MQF/EQF Level 4 or higher). Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of electrical fault finding, wiring, control panels, and power distribution systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Experience troubleshooting PLCs, inverters, relays, contactors, and other industrial electrical components. Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices. Preferred Experience using CMMS/ERP maintenance systems. Familiarity with industrial automation and PLC-controlled production machinery.
