Interim Controller (Contract) Kent, WA | Onsite | 6-8 Week Contract Seattle Search Group is partnering with a well-established company in South King County to identify an Interim Controller for an immediate 6-8 week contract . This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly step in, oversee the accounting function, and keep the department running smoothly during a transition. Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process. Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly P&L reporting. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting. Supervise a small accounting team, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Administrative staff. Review AR and collections activity. Support cash management and day-to-day accounting operations. Assist with process improvements and maintain strong internal controls. Support the company's recent transition to QuickBooks Online. Qualifications Previous Controller or strong Assistant Controller experience. Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience. Experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Prior supervisory experience. QuickBooks Online experience preferred. Advanced Excel skills. Ability to work independently and make an immediate impact.
