About the position
Position Overview We are looking for a Strategic Vendor Manager to own and grow key vendor partnerships across Mumzworld’s ecosystem. This role will focus on vendor performance, commercial negotiations, strategic planning, and long-term partnership development, ensuring vendors are aligned with Mumzworld’s growth objectives, customer promise, and operational standards. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, relationship management skills, and experience working with brands or suppliers in an e-commerce or retail environment. Key Responsibilities Vendor Strategy & Performance Own and manage a portfolio of strategic vendors, driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and long-term partnership value Develop joint business plans (JBPs) with key vendors aligned to category and company objectives Monitor and review vendor performance against KPIs including sales, margin, availability, promotional effectiveness, and operational SLAs Commercial & Negotiation Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, margins, trading terms, promotions, exclusivity, and marketing investments Ensure optimal commercial terms that support profitability while maintaining strong vendor relationships Identify opportunities for incremental revenue streams through vendor-funded initiatives and on-site placements Planning & Execution Collaborate with Category, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Tech teams to execute vendor strategies effectively Support campaign planning, seasonal events, and promotional calendars in partnership with vendors Ensure timely onboarding of new vendors, products, and initiatives Data, Insights & Reporting Analyze vendor-level performance data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities Prepare regular performance reviews and insights for internal stakeholders and vendors Use data to influence decision-making and vendor discussions Relationship & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for assigned vendors, ensuring strong communication and alignment Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior vendor stakeholders Proactively resolve issues related to performance, supply, or execution Skills & Competencies Strong commercial and negotiation skills Strategic thinking with strong execution capability Data-driven and analytical mindset Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Collaborative, solution-oriented approach Experience & Qualifications 4-7 years of experience in vendor management, account management, category management, buying, or commercial roles Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, consumer goods, or marketplace environments Proven track record of managing and growing vendor or brand relationships Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams We Are Keen to Work with Talent That Has an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoys building and scaling businesses Is commercially sharp and outcome-driven Values teamwork, ownership, and accountability Is comfortable with ambiguity and change Believes no task is too small when it comes to delivering impact Why Join Mumzworld?
