Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer – Relocation to US

Open to Swedish citizens willing to relocate to the US, or candidates already located in or near San Francisco. We’re looking for a passionate and highly skilled Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join a forward-thinking automotive team shaping the future of mobility. If you have a strong theoretical foundation and hands-on experience in vehicle dynamics and chassis engineering, this role is for you. About the Role As a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer , you will be part of a specialized engineering team responsible for developing and optimizing vehicle behavior, ride, and handling characteristics. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including chassis, controls, and simulation engineers to deliver world-class driving performance. This is a highly technical role with a strong emphasis on theoretical fundamentals, simulation, and real-world validation . What You’ll Do Develop and refine vehicle dynamics models for ride, handling, and performance Work with multibody dynamics and simulation tools to analyze vehicle behavior Design and optimize suspension systems and kinematics Perform tire modeling and analysis to improve vehicle performance Collaborate with control and software teams for vehicle stability and control systems Support vehicle testing, validation, and correlation between simulation and real-world data Contribute to engineering decisions and system-level architecture What We’re Looking For 5–10+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics or chassis engineering Strong theoretical foundation in: Multibody dynamics Vehicle dynamics Control theory Hands-on experience with tools such as: MATLAB / Simulink Adams / CarMaker or similar Proven experience from an OEM or Tier 1 automotive environment Deep expertise in suspension kinematics and tire behavior Ability to work independently and contribute at a high technical level Fluent in English Nice to Have PhD or advanced academic background in a relevant field Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving systems Exposure to control systems or embedded vehicle software Location & Relocation Open to candidates based in Sweden willing to relocate to the US (San Francisco Bay Area) Candidates already located in or near San Francisco are also encouraged to apply About YORA We’re a forward-thinking engineering team pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation.
